Great for Living off the Grid

Designed for home use, the Wagan EL2403 8,000-watt continuous power inverter is ideal for people who live in remote areas where there are no public utilities, and who get their power through solar panels or wind generators. The product converts 12V direct current (DC) power into household 115V alternating current (AC). With it, you can continue to watch TV, microwave popcorn, use your washing machine, and enjoy other conveniences.

In addition, the 8,000-watt EL2403 can power multiple appliances simultaneously, including large TV/VCR combinations, microwaves, refrigerators, air conditioners, power tools, desktop computers, laser printers, DVD players, and more.

Energy-Efficient for Greater Running Time

The Wagan EL2403 8,000-watt continuous power inverter is designed to operate at up to 90 percent efficiency--resulting in longer running times and extended battery life.

High Surge Capability

The Wagan EL2403 8,000-watt continuous power inverter offers an exceptional peak surge capability of 16,000 watts to support high-surging appliances like hair dryers and water heaters. The peak surge wattage is the maximum wattage that the inverter can supply for a very short period of time. In general, induction motors--such as those found in air conditioners, refrigerators, freezers, microwave ovens, and other devices--require an initial surge of power, or a peak load, to start up. Once started, the tool or appliance requires less power to continue to operate.

In addition, the Wagan EL2403 is outfitted with advanced, microprocessor-controlled circuits for cool and reliable operation.

Can Be Used Continuously for Up to 24 Hours

Like all Wagan power inverters, the EL2403 features True-rated Power technology, which enables it to operate continuously for up to 24 hours under a full 8,000-watt load. As a result, you can use the inverter to run your appliances for extended periods without worry.

Overload and Overheating Protection

The Wagan EL2403 comes equipped with two cooling fans to prevent overheating. If it does become overheated or overloaded, LED indicators on the side turn red, and the inverter shuts down. Other features of the EL2403 include four AC outlets, three high-output AC terminals, connections for distributed wiring, auto-reset short-circuit protection, and a low-battery alarm. The device measures 8.5 by 11 by 21 (H x W x D) and weighs 41 pounds.

The Wagan EL2403 8,000-watt continuous power inverter is backed by a two-year limited warranty.
